Vehicle maintenance schedule maintained. Intended to keep vehicle for entire life of vehicle (goal of +250,000 miles) however family life requires changes and the lack of serious driving distances made me fall short of this goal. All service and parts paper work saved. Suspension overhaul and all new hub assemblies at 101,000 miles performed by myself. My background is a materials engineer, currently managing a design for manufacture-ability department at a plastic film/pouch converting company, specializing in mechanical forming. All overhaul components listed below installed by myself have been torqued to factory specification and replaced all single use stretch bolts for specified components by manufacturer recommendation during overhaul. Takata airbag recall serviced (recently), cam shaft follower recall serviced (early in life of vehicle). Vw kit-blau parts. Comes with new strut mounts, coil spring bearing, shields and strut bumper. New sway bar links (both front r&l). New lower ball joints (both front r&l). Rears are fag oem components and fronts are precision with 3 year warranty. All new components torqued to specification with anti-seize applied . Honesty note:key-less entry glitch requires programming which i haven't had time to fix. Car will unlock manually with pop out key. Two remote-less keys come with vehicle. Coolant will require flushing within 12 months (service is 2-3 years). This 1961 vw beetle is dressed up like the famous herbie the love bug. It has a very clean interior. The floor pans are in good shape. Not sure of the engine size but it feels powerful. The body has that just right patina look.
